Description
The Digital Modernization sector within Leidos is seeking a JIRA Administrator to support the NISC Program. To be successful in this role, the candidate should have experience with performing all areas of JIRA administration, including systems administration, application management, change control, risk management and validation and verification for multiple product baselines.This position is 100% on-site based in Arlington, VA with occasional/situational travel.
Primary Responsibilities
- Configure and maintain Jira projects, workflows, issue types, screens, and permissions.
- Manage custom fields, dashboards, filters, and system settings.
- Implement and maintain governance controls for user access and configuration management.
- Design, implement, and maintain Jira automation (native and plugins such as ScriptRunner).
- Develop standardized workflows to ensure consistency, traceability, and compliance.
- Analyze and improve business processes through automation.
- Ensure workflows and automation align with established program and project management principles and lifecycle practices.
- Develop and maintain automated processes to extract, transform, and load Jira data.
- Build and maintain external tools, scripts, or services using APIs, webhooks, or similar mechanisms.
- Integrate Jira data with other systems to support cross-functional reporting.
- Ensure reliability, scalability, and maintainability of data pipelines and tools.
Basic Qualifications
- Requires a Bachelor's degree and 4-8 years of prior relevant experience; additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Candidate must be able to obtain FAA Public Trust Suitability.
- Within the last 3 years, experience performing periodic system back-ups and developing/documenting standard operating procedures for these activities.
- Experience administering Jira in a professional environment
- Experience with Jira automation tools and workflow configuration
- Experience working with REST APIs and system integrations
- Proficiency in a scripting or programming language (e.g., Python, Groovy, JavaScript)
- Demonstrated knowledge of the discipline of program and project management, including planning, execution, tracking, and reporting, and the ability to translate those concepts into effective Jira workflows, automation, and performance metrics.
- Must have strong work ethic with good time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to translate highly technical matter to non-technical audience
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experienced with the FAA or similar agency.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $73,450.00 - $132,775.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
