ACUTRONIC Group - Company portrait
ACUTRONIC (www.acutronic.com) is a worldwide-recognized leader in the design and manufacture of motion simulation systems for the aviation, space, defense, maritime, and automotive industries. The group has its headquarters in Bubikon, Switzerland, where it employs approximately 50 people, and a US operation in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where it employs approximately 50 people.
Our Motion Simulation customers typically need to simulate either the flight of an object, such as an aircraft or missile, or the dynamic motion of an object such as an automotive vehicle or a ship. These highly engineered applications require advanced real time control and simulation capabilities. ACUTRONIC’s sophisticated products provide this solution.
Motion simulators designed and produced by ACUTRONIC make it possible for the customer to accurately reproduce roll, pitch and yaw motion in the laboratory. To accurately reproduce the real environment a temperature chamber is often a requirement. Thereby all motion sequences can be tested with the conditions the unit under test is likely to experience in the real world. This helps significantly in accelerating the development phase for new products and lowers the overall R & D costs.
Products available from ACUTRONIC range from small, single-axis rate tables for the automotive industry to three-axis simulators for flight motion profiling to five-axis flight motion simulator systems for the missile test industry. Customers of ACUTRONIC include companies such as Boeing, Honeywell, Raytheon, Northrop Grumman, BAE Systems, Sagem and EADS.
