Description
Strategic Analysis, Inc. seeks a Technical Writer to support a United States Cyber Command (USCC) customer, focusing on interpreting and delivering technical materials into precise and impactful documents. This role involves developing professional reporting materials for the unit, requiring a blend of technical acuity, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The position will be full-time on location based in Fort Meade, MD and is open only to applicants local to the DMV area.
Salary Range: $145k-$165k
Responsibilities:
• Analyzes technical literature available, writes descriptive copy, and verifies documentation.
• Work as part of a team while taking ownership of assignments and working independently.
• Must be able to edit, write, and/or rewrite technical articles, publications, presentations, and other materials to communicate clearly and effectively on research findings, technical developments, and other information to a wide range of external audiences.
• Must be able to exercise quality control over documentation intended for external distribution.
• Collaborate with engineers, cybersecurity experts, and program managers to translate technical concepts into clear, concise documentation.
• Evolve, revise, or redevelop technical products based on feedback from stakeholders.
• Convert hand-written, digital, or verbally communicated concepts into professional-grade products.
Requirements:
• Minimum five (5) years of recent and relevant experience.
• Strong technical writing expertise with experience producing and managing documentation.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work largely unsupervised, an ability to work as part of a team, and interact appropriately with all levels of the staff.
• Experience integrating graphics, multimedia, and data visualization into technical publications.
• Ability to multi-task and support both immediate requests and long-term projects.
• Background in training development or instructional design for technical systems.
Certifications:
• Certifications such as CPTC (Certified Professional Technical Communicator).
