Job Description:  RSi is looking to fill a Team Lead position to support our NASA customer. The Team Lead is responsible for daily planning, coordination, and technical direction of staff. Ensures on-time and within budget requirements. Interfaces with NASA and other contractor management in understanding and definition of tasks and operations. Ensures that only qualified personnel are utilized in conducting tasks under this contract and, where applicable, that only individuals with proper certification conduct work that requires certification. Responsible for training and preparing his/her team for current and future tasks. 

Job Duties:  

• Coordinates with NASA customers to assess skill needs and coordinates/maintains employee certifications to satisfy those needs. 
• Ensures all tasks comply with all pertinent MSFC procedures. 
• Validates Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE)  and Quality guideline compliance. 
• Oversees operations and provides leadership to Contractor's technical workforce for various backgrounds and skill sets to ensure the efficient and effective accomplishment of all tasks to adequately meet the requirements of hte Government; the safety and health of the workforce; and protection of Government property from damage. 
• Makes recommendations for process improvements necessary to accomplish tasks. 

Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited institution OR 2 years of directly related experience is required in comparable field where experience may serve in lieu of the degree requirement. 

Work Environment: 

• Team Leads work in indoor and outdoor test areas, test stands, laboratories, chambers, machine shops, cold and hot weather environments, heights, and confined spaces. 
• May work with or around Cryogenics (Liquid Hydrogen, Liquid Oxygen, Liquid Nitrogen, Liquid Helium), Gaseous Hydrogen, Gaseous Oxygen, Gaseous Nitrogen, Gaseous Helium, High Pressure Systems, Hypergols,  Solid Propellants, Explosives, Other Toxic, Confined Space, Cleanliness Standards and Operations, Electrical Instrumentation and Controls Systems and Components Associated with Hazardous Operations, Mechanical Systems and Components Associated with Hazardous Operations, Safety Critical Equipment (Lifts, and Moves), Specialized Equipment, Large and/or Complex Facilities, Test Stands, Equipment, Special Test Equipment, and Test Articles, Specialized Handing, Transportation, Operation of One of a Kind Test Articles and Associated Components

Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation): 

• Lifting up to 40 lbs, bending, crouching, crawling, climbing stairs/ladders, pulling cables/wires. 
• Must use proper PPE for all tasks.

Other Essential Functions (with or without reasonable accommodation): 

• Must be able to communicate with peers, supervisors and customers. 
• Must be able to work independently or in a team. 
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions (with or without a reasonable accommodation). 

Clearance: Must meet eligibility for a Public Trust background investigation for government issues credentials and IT access/applicants must be able to pass a security background check per Redstone Arsenal/MSFC requirements.
