Job Description:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work usually is segregated by commodity area or function, and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility.
• Assignments usually relate to stable or standardized segments of technical supply management operations; or to functions or subjects that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty.
• The work generally involves individual case problems or supply actions.
• Contacts vendors and prospective vendors to obtain market research for the purchase of items or services required.
• Create purchase requisitions on the Aquiline Purchase Request Website (PR Web).
• Updates and maintains files and special-order purchase requisition contracts and modifications.
• Assists in issuing and shipping equipment and supplies to worldwide locations as required.
• Obtain Appointment Letters, Signature Cards, and Delegation of Authority from mobilizing units for issuance and placing orders of supplies and equipment.
• Issues items individually, to groups, or on temporary loan to authorized personnel by appointment.
• Provides clerical and administrative support and research to personnel for items for the Government Purchase Card Holder.
• Assists with locating items or services of a "hard to find," made to order, and technical nature. Particularly with technical items that have no established precedents of previous transactions to serve as guidelines.
• Distributes goods and services to mobilizing units in a timely and organized manner.
• Issue and receive the linen to include but not limited to (inventory, delivery, and pickup of clean and dirty linen).
• Inspects and accounts for all items ordered or items received to ensure 100% accountability.
• Ensures items and quantities requested are authorized; and determines the correctness of authority, stock number and nomenclature, cost, source, method of acquisition, and other information such as manufacturer designation, identification number, dimensional data, contract number, and property book number.
• Must be able to follow SOP in submitting, tracking, and following up on work orders.
• Shall assist and inform customers of operating policies, procedures, requirements, and responsibilities.
• Assists in the process and edit incoming requisitions, lateral transfers, statement of charges, turn-ins, Financial Liability Investigation of Property Loss (FLIPL), and receipt documents to adjust property accountability in accordance with AR 735-5 and AR 710-2.
• Assists in the submission of requisitions for expendable/durable and non-expendable items in accordance with DA PAM 710-2-1, AR 710-2 and STAMIS manuals.
• Operates automated supply databases and manual systems to prepare and process documents and to enter, correct and retrieve a variety of recurring reports.
• Shall maintain required files in each functional area of responsibility in accordance with current regulations, pamphlets, and other governing directives for those areas, and shall destroy files as required.
• Provides support by issuing supplies as required.
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Requirements:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Minimum requirements :
• Good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines.
• Understanding of the needs of the organization serviced.
• Analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.
• May require consideration of program requirements together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines.
• Able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Effective communication skills.
• Proficient desktop computer applications required to include Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Comply with all Osha regulatory requirements.
• Understand and comply with all Performance Work Statement requirements.
• Ability to obtain a Forklift Certification.
Preferred :
- High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two (2-3) yrs. directly relevant technical experience required.
• Prior experience working with/for the US Military with a Logistical background, a plus.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, comprehend and explain instructions, letters, memos, emails, and correspondence from inside the organization as well as from external sources. Ability to effectively respond, communicate and present information to customers, internal and external, clients and other employees in the organization. Ability to interpret instructions and information and explain to others in the performance of this job in English.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Performance of essential and ancillary functions requires maintenance of physical conditioning adequate for bending, stooping, sitting, walking, or standing for prolonged periods. Most work requires sitting in a comfortable position with frequent opportunity to move about. Must be able to lift/move 75 lbs. Requires near visual acuity to review written documentation; ability to hear and understand speech at normal room levels and on the telephone; manual dexterity to operate a telephone and keyboard; and ability to lift horizontally and vertically.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/HOURS:
Most work will be performed in environmentally controlled areas. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Safety shoes may be required to be worn. Personnel may require having flexed hours to accommodate for mission requirements to include weekends and holidays. Overtime can be required. Personnel must be able to support operations at McGregor Range Base Camp or the Fort Bliss Arrival/Departure Airfield Control Group (A/DACG).
