Our client is a leading outsourced investment office, managing $60B in assets across a diverse portfolio of endowments, foundations, investment professionals, and prominent families globally. They have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance professional to join their growing team based in London. As a Senior Associate in the Finance team, you will have the opportunity to apply your accounting and finance experience across a range of processes and operations for a global group.

Role & Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for the month-end close process for legal entities in the group, including financial reporting, reconciliations and management information.
2. Responsible for leading external audits.
3. Input and maintain accurate accounting data in the firm's financial systems, ensuring all entries comply with relevant accounting standards.
4. Collaborate with our outsourced service provider to manage general ledger activities, journal entries, reconciliations and month-end close processes.
5. Preparation of relevant regulatory and tax information and filings, liaising with external advisors as required.
6. Conduct analytical reviews of financial data to identify trends and variances for forecasting and to aid decision-making.
7. Contribute to the enhancement of financial policies and procedures to strengthen control environments and ensure best practice.
8. Participate in finance system improvements and digital transformation initiatives to enhance efficiencies and reporting accuracy.
9. Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
10. Support the Global COO / Head of Operational Finance with ad hoc special projects as required.
11. Be responsible for ensuring all information security processes, policies and procedures are adhered to and any issues or concerns are raised with the Cyber Security team.
12. Ensure full compliance with all local data protection regulations and privacy controls, and any related issues are raised via the appropriate channels.

Skills Required:

1. Will be qualified as an Accounting professional and/or hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
2. Will have ideally qualified in an audit firm, ideally focusing on financial services clients, followed by approximately 1-2 years' experience in-house within a finance team
3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to identify areas of improvement
4. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders across all levels, locations and business functions
5. Experience within, or a strong understanding of, the Financial Services industry and associated regulatory reporting requirements highly desirable
6. Strong proficiency using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, as well as prior experience of using an accounting system or other financial software
7. Knowledge or prior experience of SAP Business by Design would be highly desirable
