Position Title: Project Scheduler
About the Position
Were seeking a Project Scheduler for large, heavy-civil infrastructure programsincluding highways, roads, bridges, transit (rail and bus), and airport projects delivered through both traditional and alternative methods.
Youll assist in the development, maintenance, and support of project schedules for all assigned capital projects, ensuring project schedules capture all project requirements and are developed and maintained using a risk-based monitoring scheme.
This is a long-term, full-time, on-site position located in the greater Washington DC metro area.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Develop comprehensive, risk-based schedules for new capital improvement projects in compliance with the required milestones and sequencing of capital work.
- Prepare a Resource Management Plan that describes how project resources will be acquired, allocated, monitored, and controlled.
- Generate a critical path network schedule with activity duration estimates and costs that support effective and efficient reporting and the development of production work packages.
- Develop revised schedules to reflect changes in project scope, delays, or acceleration efforts.
- Establish Cost, Scope, Schedule, and Performance Baselines to monitor and analyze project progress in relation to scheduled activities and milestones.
- Perform monthly KPI analyses.
- Monitor monthly labor and resource demands on the respective project schedule and report variances and risks.
- Review and integrate respective project schedules from external stakeholders and provide feedback.
- Validate contractors project schedule accuracy. Prepare a comprehensive review memo.
- Participate in job site meetings.
- Prepare Time Impact Analysis (TIA) due to modifications and external factors.
- Review Contractors Time Impact Analysis.
- Generate monthly reports for stakeholders on critical issues and KPIs.
- Collaborate with both internal and external project stakeholders to develop schedules for new projects.
- Provide effective communication with each respective project team regarding milestones, deliverables, activities, and resources.
- Create an Integrated Change Control system to evaluate and approve/disapprove requested changes to any Baseline.
- Generate and deliver monthly report on the methodology of monitoring identified risks and new sources of risk regarding (cost, scope, schedule, risk, resource, etc.).

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in construction management, business, engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 7+ years of hands-on scheduling experience for large (>$500M), complex, transit projects, including 3+ years of construction claims experience.
- Experience with full CPM baseline schedule development, resource or cost loading, progress updating, and variance analysis.
- Proven ability to interpret project scope and drawings and translate them into logic-driven and sequenced, resource-aware schedules.
- Proven ability to monitor schedules for key constraints such as (cost, scope, schedule, risk, resource, etc.).
- Proficiency in schedule risk analysis using tools such as Primavera Risk, Deltek Acumen Fuse, or @Risk.
- 5+ years experience utilizing Primavera P6 for large to medium projects.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite/Office 365 (e.g., Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters degree in construction management, business, or engineering.
- Certification as a PMI scheduling professional (PMI-SP) or AACEI Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP).
- Proficiency with Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms for building interactive dashboards and KPI visualizations.
Compensation Details
The salary range listed for this role is $120k-$200k/year ($57-$96/hour). The final salary offered will be based on multiple factors and thoughtfully aligned with each candidates level of experience, breadth of skills, total education achieved, certifications/licenses that have been obtained, geographic location, etc.
