Description
Leidos is seeking an ambitious and experienced Program Ally Training & Workforce Development Manager to support the Ameren Illinois Energy Efficiency Program.This is a unique opportunity to lead transformative workforce development efforts by delivering high-impact technical training, building strategic relationships, and supporting the growth of energy efficiency efforts across both residential and business sectors. The Program Ally Training & Workforce Development Manager will work closely with the Portfolio Program Ally Manager, Business and Residential Ally Managers, Field Teams, Quality Team, and other partners to create and implement a systematic and collaborative Program Ally training and workforce development strategy for the Ameren Illinois Energy Efficiency Program.

Primary Responsibilities
Program Ally workforce development & training
- Develop/implement/maintain comprehensive Program Ally training plan(s) responsive to Program, Stakeholder, and Program Ally needs. Covering both our Business and Residential Program. Immediate focus areas include Air Source Heat Pumps and Weatherization.
- Identify, evaluate, and secure training formats, including manufacturer-led sessions, instructor-led workshops, third-party modules, and online content.
- Integrate and communicate learning opportunities from local expos, trade shows, and conventions that benefit Program Allies and internal teams.
- Facilitate and support delivery of both live and asynchronous training.
- Create, track, and report out on performance metrics related to training and workforce development.
Ally Communication & Coordination
- Schedule and lead regular Program Ally update calls (monthly, quarterly, annually) in collaboration with subject matter experts.
- Serve as a central point of contact for Ally training questions/suggestions across trades and program channels.
Training Resource Management
- Maintain a comprehensive, categorized repository of training resources sorted by trade, channel, and measure type.
- Track, attend, and share information on distributor and rep agency training events with Program Allies.
- Oversee budget related to Program Ally trainings and any related subcontracting.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Connect Program Allies to internal subject matter experts to ensure accurate and consistent messaging.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Technical, and Field teams to align training content and delivery with overall program strategy.
- Lead implementation of Market Transformation trainings from planning stages to delivery, including sourcing instructors, coordinating venues, reviewing content, and managing run-of-show logistics.
Relationship Management
- Internal resource for Distribution, Supply Chain, Manufacturer Agencies, Trade Organizations, and other relevant industry contacts.
- Partner with current Distributor Midstream field teams to establish lasting partnerships with supply chain and manufacture rep agencies.
- Build and maintain relationships with technical contacts within supply chain and industry organizations.
Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant energy efficiency or workforce development experience, or 5+ years of equivalent industry experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Experience working with contractors, distributors, or Program Allies in energy efficiency, construction, or related sectors.
- Proficiency and confidence in delivering engaging presentations and technical training to both large and small groups across a range of experience levels.
- Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
- Comfortable managing multiple stakeholder groups and training formats.
- Ability to manage training documentation, event calendars, and maintain accurate data for reporting.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% within Ameren Illinois territory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce strongly preferred.
Although this role will primarily support the Ameren Illinois Energy Efficiency Program, Leidos will be the employer of the person, Ameren Illinois does not take any role in selecting the person for employment, and Ameren Illinois will not have any role in managing the work performed by the person.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $73,450.00 - $132,775.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
