Description
You will be a key member of the investment deal team, responsible for driving fund growth and executing high-impact transactions across priority sectors. You will play a central role in shaping investment strategy, sourcing opportunities, leading deal execution, and guiding portfolio companies toward successful exits. This position requires both strategic leadership and hands-on involvement, ensuring the fund maintains its reputation as a market-oriented, institutionally governed investment manager.Responsibilities
- Develop and implement fund strategy to support AUM expansion.
- Identify and prioritize sectors: telecom, new materials, chemicals, biopharma, clean energy.
- Build and maintain a high-quality investment pipeline aligned with focus sectors.
- Cultivate networks with government agencies, PE/VC firms, technology parks, and advisors.
- Screen and evaluate early- to growth-stage opportunities (Series A-D).
- Lead valuation, financial modeling, due diligence, deal structuring, and negotiations.
- Prepare Investment Committee materials and ensure decisions meet LP standards.
- Manage term sheets, transaction documentation, and closing processes.
- Oversee portfolio companies, monitor performance, and drive value creation initiatives.
- Support exit strategies including IPOs, trade sales, and secondary transactions.
- Mentor and lead investment team members, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Ensure compliance with governance, regulatory requirements, and LP reporting standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree; preferably double degree/major in Finance/Economics and Engineering.
- Over 8 years of investment experience with proven track record in fundraising, deal evaluation, and successful exits.
- Strong network across China; exposure to semiconductors, chemicals/materials, consumer, pharma, and renewables.
- Background in investment banking or private equity, with cross-border transaction experience.
- Licensed by China AMAC (基金从业资格); CFA/CPA preferred.
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and execution skills.
- Strong leadership skills with ability to manage teams and contribute directly to execution.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with institutional discipline.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Mandarin and English.
