Apply your clinical experience as a hospital Occupational Therapist to undertake assessments, interventions and educational services.
The Department of Health manages the Northern Territory public health system, operating as one system across 5 regions, providing the full spectrum of essential, quality health services, from health promotion to prevention, treatment, occupational therapy and rehabilitation, and palliative care across the life course.
The Alice Springs Hospital is an accredited modern 207-bed teaching hospital providing a range of health services to clients and their families across the Central Region of Australia, including occupational therapy services, acute and/or rehabilitation.
As an Occupational Therapist, you deliver high quality culturally appropriate and effective Occupational Therapy services within a multidisciplinary framework and are responsible for prioritising and managing a caseload within a dynamic and evolving work environment. This includes providing clinical and professional supervision, contributing to quality improvements and following work health and safety procedures are undertaken.
To be successful you require relevant qualifications in Occupational Therapy, registration to practice with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and several years post-graduate experience. Demonstrated ability to provide clinical supervision of students and junior staff, and an awareness and understanding of Aboriginal culture, family and community structures, with the ability to communicate and work effectively in a culturally safe manner is essential.

About 450kms down the road is Uluru, a large sandstone rock formation that is a spectacular sight any time of the year.
