Department Overview
NFPE is seeking to enlarge its Continental Europe Liquidity Management Team. The team works across functions, products and manages liquidity for the European business based in Frankfurt and Paris. The team is highly integrated into regional and global initiatives and projects and consists of experienced professionals working closely with our London EMEA Treasury hub.
Overview:
This position is a rare opportunity to work in a fast-paced, international team managing a €20bn balance sheet with direct exposure to senior management, Business and regulatory processes.
As a Corporate Treasury Associate in the Nomura Financial Products Europe team, you will support the Head of Liquidity Management in their responsibility for the management of liquidity, funding, internal modelling and regulatory reporting for the firm's European Union subsidiaries. You will help to prepare presentations to senior management as well as regulators working closely with the wider EMEA Treasury team in London.

- Analyse, understand and manage the liquidity, funding and Interest Rate risk profiles of European entities, in conjunction with financial, legal, regulatory, market and operational constraints
- Plan and execute the ILAAP (Internal Liquidity Adequacy Assessment Process) and CFP (Contingency Funding Plan), working with multiple business lines and functions across the Firm to coordinate input into these documents
- Provide input from a Liquidity and Treasury perspective into Recovery and Resolution Planning documents
- Coordinate regulatory engagement in relation to all Treasury activities in NFPE
- Understand in detail and able to explain succinctly the content of liquidity and interest rate risk regulatory returns and key factors
- Develop and maintain sophisticated liquidity stress testing models and scenarios
- Previous financial services industry experience with a focus on liquidity management, balance sheet management, business analysis, or treasury operations
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related quantitative field
- Ability to operate in an environment with a high level of scrutiny and be able to collaborate effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders across levels
- Excellent analytical and presentation skills and the ability to convey complex issues succinctly
- Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across various lines of business, legal entities and regions
- Ability to excel under pressure, prioritize effectively across multiple tasks and bring tasks to closure
- Technical Skills: Advanced Excel, PowerBI, Alteryx knowledge preferred, experience with treasury management systems
- Professional Qualifications: CFA, FRM, or equivalent risk management certification
- Deep understanding of the regulatory banking framework of the European Union (CRR/CRD IV/V, BRRD)
- Experience in preparing materials for senior management and/or regulatory bodies
- Previous experience in broker-dealer or investment banking treasury operations
- Languages: German language skills advantageous but not required
- Experience with regulatory reporting systems (COREP, FINREP)
