Description
Arnold & Porter is seeking a Legal Resource Assistant Floater to join our Washington, DC office. This role provides administrative support to attorneys and legal staff across multiple practice groups in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This is a fully onsite position requiring a high degree of adaptability, organization, and professionalism.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Prepare, edit, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and emails with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Provide comprehensive support for trials, depositions, client meetings, and case strategy sessions, including organizing exhibits, binders, and presentation materials.
Manage complex attorney calendars; schedule meetings, conference calls, and virtual sessions using platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
Process and track expenses and invoices using Emburse.
Coordinate domestic and international travel arrangements.
Organize, distribute, and maintain incoming and outgoing mail.
Monitor attorney workloads and proactively assist with shifting priorities.
Maintain and organize electronic and physical case files.
Track and manage attorney state and federal court admissions and renewals.
Utilize Microsoft Office and firm-specific systems to complete assignments efficiently.
Assist with new client and matter intake processes.
Review, edit, and finalize client invoices.
Partner with accounting and e-billing teams to ensure accurate and timely billing procedures.
Qualifications:
High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and verbal).
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with databases and internet research.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
Team-oriented mindset with a proactive and flexible approach.
Willingness to work additional hours as needed.
The base salary for this position is $50,000.

As a nonexempt position, this position is eligible for overtime.
The firm may provide a discretionary bonus annually.
