The Department of Operations Research & Financial Engineering (ORFE) at Princeton University invites applications for an Instructor appointment beginning September 1, 2026. Applicants must have completed a doctoral degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, electrical engineering, operations research or a related field relevant to the department within the last three years. The initial appointment is for one year, with the possibility of renewal for 1-2 additional years subject to departmental need and satisfactory performance. The teaching load is one course per semester plus student advising and service responsibilities.
Successful candidates must show demonstrable excellence in research and must also have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Priority will be given to candidates whose research aligns with the department's current interests, in particular in applied probability.
