Job Description:  RSi is looking to fill an Equipment Operator Foreman to support our NASA customer. The Equipment Operator Foreman oversees and directs the daily activities of Equipment Operators to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operation of heavy machinery. This role provides guidance in the use of cranes, clamshells, power shovels, motor graders, loaders, bulldozers, rollers, scrapers, and industrial tractors used for excavation, loading, and material movement. The foreman ensures proper interpretation of grade and slope stakes, adherence to work plans, and performance of basic equipment adjustments or emergency repairs. 

Job Duties: 

• Direct daily activities of Equipment Operators to ensure compliant work.
• Oversee safe operation of diverse heavy equipment for excavation and material handling.
• Guide interpretation of grade stakes, slope indicators, and basic plans.
• Monitor equipment condition and support minor adjustments or emergency repairs.
• Verify operational quality, efficiency, and adherence to project requirements.

Qualifications and Experience: Strong leadership and expertise in heavy equipment operations are essential.

Work Environment: Indoor and outdoor working environments. May include test areas, test stands, laboratories, chambers, machine shops, cold and hot weather environments, heights, and confined spaces.  

Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):  

• Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and working in awkward positions to access work areas
• The use of tools associated with the position 
• Lifting up to 40 lbs.
• Must use proper PPE for all tasks

• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions

Clearance: Must meet eligibility for a Public Trust background investigation for government issues credentials and IT access. Applicants must be able to pass a security background check per Redstone Arsenal/MSFC requirements.
