Overview
We are seeking a Configuration Management Specialist to support configuration control and documentation activities for a Department of War Configuration Management Support Services program. The Configuration Management Specialist provides support in establishing and maintaining configuration management processes to ensure accurate control of system baselines across the system lifecycle.
*This position is contingent upon contract award.*
Responsibilities
- Establish and/or maintain systems to record modifications to hardware, software, and documentation.
- Maintain allocated, functional, and physical configuration baselines.
- Assist with review of engineering change requests to assess impacts.
- Maintain configuration control records and technical documentation.
- Support configuration verification and audit activities.
- Prepare directives supporting change authorization and implementation.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Security Requirements:
- Must possess IT-II clearance or a current NACLC. U.S. Citizenship required.
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience supporting configuration management.
- Experience supporting configuration management activities.
Education:
- Significant coursework or a Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
Certifications:
- Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority.
Desired Experience and Skillset:
- Experience supporting DoD or Federal IT programs.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
