Description
The Business Intelligence Analyst plays a crucial role in gathering, analyzing, and presenting data-driven insights that contribute to strategic decision-making and improve operational efficiency within the organization.
Data Analysis: Collects, cleans, and analyzes data from various internal and external sources to identify trends, patterns, and correlations that can be utilized to optimize business operations and decision-making processes. Utilizes Python and related data libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy) to support advanced analytical workflows.
Reporting and Visualization: Prepares clear and concise reports, dashboards, and visualizations using business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and Python visualization libraries (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly) to present key findings, metrics, and insights to stakeholders, including senior management, department heads, and other teams.
Data Integrity and Quality Assurance: Ensures the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of data by performing regular data audits, validation checks, and data cleansing activities. Collaborates with relevant teams to resolve data discrepancies and improve data quality.
Ad-Hoc Analysis: Conducts ad-hoc data analysis based on specific business requirements, assisting teams across the organization with data-driven insights to support their decision-making processes, performance tracking, and strategic initiatives.
Business Process Improvement: Identifies opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency through data analysis and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Recommends actionable solutions supported by data insights, including automation opportunities using Python-based tools and workflows.
Data Governance and Compliance: Adheres to data governance policies and guidelines to ensure data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance. Stays updated on industry best practices, trends, and emerging technologies in business intelligence, and analytics.
Collaboration and Communication: Collaborates effectively with stakeholders, including business leaders, IT teams, and other departments, to gather requirements, understand business needs, and deliver data-driven insights in a clear and understandable manner.
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases.
Proficiency with Python for data analysis, automation, and visualization, including experience with libraries such as pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Seaborn, or Plotly.
Familiarity with business intelligence and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, QlikView) is a plus.

In alignment with our commitment to pay transparency, we're pleased to share that the base salary range for this position is $110,187 - $141,040, excluding fringe benefits or potential incentives. If you're hired at Rockland Federal Credit Union, your final base pay will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and experience. We also take pay equity seriously and consider the internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer. Please note that the range provided reflects the full base pay for this role. We also offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package designed to support your overall well-being and success.
