Location: Yeppoon | Reports to: Coordinator Strategic Asset Management

As our Asset Management Officer, you will provide strategic asset management services that ensure the integrity, accuracy and usability of Council’s asset data.

What you will doing:
If you love spreadsheets, databases and spatial data, then this is the job for you. You will help contribute to the shaping of how we manage 1.8 billion dollars worth of council owned assets, including land, roads, parks, fleet and many more. Here is how you’ll make your mark:
- Maintain the integrity of Council’s Asset Management System (Conquest) and GIS (ESRI) by ensuring asset data is accurate, validated and complete, supporting strategic decisionmaking and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance in asset-related submissions by reviewing asconstructed documentation, digitising this information into Council’s GIS and AMS, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to uphold Council’s standards.
- Contribute to process and procedure improvements by supporting the ongoing review of Council’s asset data in both the GIS and AMS, ensuring alignment between these systems and what exists in the real world.
- Undertake the financial capitalisation and registration of gifted and Councilconstructed assets in accordance with Council’s financial, asset management and reporting frameworks.

You are not just good with data, you understand what it means for the big picture. Here is what sets you apart:
- A strong eye for detail, with the ability to interpret engineering drawings, project documentation and costings, and translate this information into GIS datasets (points, lines and polygons) and asset records within the asset register.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to work effectively with internal teams, contractors and a wide range of stakeholders.
- Solid skills in asset management systems, GIS and local government financial processes, supported by an inquisitive mindset and a genuine desire to learn and improve.
- A motivated and collaborative approach, thriving in a highintensity, closeknit team that consistently punches above its weight.

- GIS integration or workflow wizardry that makes processes smoother and smarter.
- Technology One Finance or Asset Management digital innovation experience — we love clever solutions.
Knowhow with water and sewer assets — pipes, pumps, treatment plants and all the good stuff in-between.
