AI Verification Engineer w/Zoox Inc. (Foster City, CA)

 Responsible for building and maintaining a business-critical data pipeline to set safety metrics which are reported to the executive team on a weekly basis.  Create and modify databases and set up extract-transform-load (ETL) pipelines. Work across a wide array of cross-functional teams, including simulation, data, product management, finance, QA and triage. Build new data pipelines and maintain and improve existing pipelines. Identify areas of improvement, create long term roadmaps, prioritize and debug failing pipelines or scripts. Write and update documentation, design and maintain a set of robust unit tests.  Build automated pipelines and infrastructure for mass simulations to verify performance of autonomous driving software. Develop data models and responsible for database supporting of the entire framework. Develop algorithms to analyze large amounts of log data from vehicle drives. Perform quantitative analysis of complex systems. Utilize Python, Looker, PostgreSQL, AWS S3 & EC2, statistics, Databricks, and Redshift.

 Requires Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative or engineering field and 6 months of professional experience as a Systems Engineer, Development Engineer, AI Verification Engineer or related position. Experience must include: Modifying databases and setting up extract-transform-load (ETL) pipelines; Working with simulation; Performing quantitative analysis of complex systems; Developing Data models and algorithms to analyze large amounts of data; and Utilizing Python, Looker, PostgreSQL, AWS S3 & EC2, statistics, Databricks, and Redshift.
